1999Invented and developed WLS (Wireless Location Signatures) technology. Submitted multiple patent applications for WLS and related applications.
1999 - 2001Successfully performed multiple field trials of the WLS Location System in the U.S. and Europe in GSM and TDMA networks. Won two competitive field trials conducted by Vodafone in Germany and the U.K. against multiple location system vendors.
2000 - 2003Issued first patent for WLS technology
2001Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with first customer -- SunCom (formerly Triton PCS) for their TDMA network. Successfully performed commercial field tests and end-to-end FCC/OET-71 testing with SunCom; SunCom Wireless is now a part of T-Mobile USA. Conducted funded field trial with Vodafone for evaluation of NetOpt (Network Optimization) GSM product.
2003Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with SunCom for their GSM network. Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with Rural Cellular Corp. (Unicel) for GSM and TDMA networks; Unicel is now a part of Verizon Wireless.
2004Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with Dobson Cellular for their GSM and TDMA networks; Dobson Cellular is now a part of AT&T. Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with Edge Wireless for their GSM network, which is now a part of AT&T. Successfully performed field trials with Polaris prototype UMTS Location System in multiple Tier I operator networks in the U.S. and Japan.
2005Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with MTPCS (Chinook Wireless), Chariton Valley, LongLines and Airadigm for their GSM networks. Opened an office in Bangalore, India.
2006Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with SimmetryPCS, Cross Wireless, EpicTouch, Cellular One of N.E. Arizona and Cellular One of West Virginia (Easterbrooke Cellular) for their TDMA and GSM networks. Successfully deployed a GSM NetOpt (Network Optimization) product with Rural Cellular Corp. (Unicel).
2007Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with Union Telephone, GCI, XIT Wireless, NEP Telephone, Commnet Wireless, Choice Wireless, West Central Wireless, LA Ward Cellular and Kaplan Telephone for their GSM networks.
2008Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with IMMIX Wireless (Keystone) for their GSM network. Filed multiple patents for a best-in-class 5-50h (5 seconds time-to-fix, 50 meters accuracy) Hybrid solution. 8 patents were filed jointly with a large Tier 1 operator in Japan.
2009Awarded Public Safety deployment contract with Vitelcom Cellular (US Virgin Islands) for their GSM network. Awarded a Managed E911 services contract with Globecomm and Telecommunications Systems (TCS) for their respective carrier customers. Opened an office in Dubai, UAE.
2010Awarded the Frost & Sullivan Location-Based Services Enabling Technology Award.
2011Announced record bookings for 2011 due to significant new deployments. Completed successful field trials, proving attainability of India DoT mandate; first location technology company to comply with the mandate on a 3G network in India. Named to the sixth annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Was the only network-based location solution participating in a groundbreaking indoor location technology market trial organized by the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) advisory committee, the Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council (CSRIC).
2012Announced significant, record increase in revenue and profitability in 2012, where revenue grew 79 percent year-over-year, and profitability (as measured by EBITDA) increased six-fold. Selected by Globe Telecom, one of the leading telecommunications companies and a pioneer in wireless communications in the Philippines, to deploy the OmniLocate universal location platform and refresh Globe Telecom’s Location-Based Services (LBS) capability. Closed on a recapitalization of existing equity interests, welcomed new investor Industry Ventures. Won a major deployment with Telekom Malaysia for deploying high accuracy location for their MERS 999 emergency response system. Completed a successful trial with the Mountain View Police Department for Altus Blue Force Tracking (ABF). Successfully completed “FCC compliant indoor location” trials in a DAS environment for large US Tier 1 operator.
2013Awarded the Frost & Sullivan Location-Based Services Enabling Technology Award (2nd time in 4 years). Successfully demonstrated vertical (Z-axis) location to the FCC and Washington Post. Successfully completed ABF trials with Fremont PD. Opened an international HQ office in Zug, Switzerland.
2014Established a Global Operations Center in Košice, Slovakia.
2015Awarded a nationwide Internet of Things (IoT) LTE, cloud-based location contract by the largest Tier 1 operator in the US. Contract win is through channel partner Nokia and uses the industry’s first cloud container-based Hybrid location solution.
2015Completed and successfully demonstrated compliance with FCC-mandated independent industry testing of emerging technologies for indoor location, including mandate requirements not due until 2021.
2016Received the Mobility Award for Mobile Software Indoor Positioning Systems at the International CES tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada.
2017Announced the commercial availability of the industry’s first high-accuracy carrier-independent 3D location platform for application developers. By integrating their applications to the new platform, developers now are able to provide end users with pinpoint location, including indoors and in high-rise buildings with floor level accuracy, delivering enhanced situational awareness and improved operational efficiency.
