| E911 Phase II | Lawful Interception |
Polaris Wireless offers U.S. operators a flexible solution that meets the FCC E911 Phase II mandate and compliance requirements, providing the most accurate and reliable location system in the industry. It can be deployed as a standalone system or in combination with existing handset-based technologies, allowing operators to quickly deploy the solution and cost-efficiently meet E911 compliance requirements.
The Polaris Wireless WLS technology outperforms all other technologies in dense urban and indoor environments where line of sight is not always available. Clutter effects that cause problems for other location technologies — such as A-GPS and triangulation methods (e.g., U-TDOA) — actually enrich the Polaris RF signature, improving location reliability and accuracy where it is needed most. The Polaris Wireless WLS Location Engine processes location requests by comparing radio parameter values reported by the handset to those in the established database. Proprietary algorithms use a pattern matching approach to determine handset location.
Our solutions are completely software based, eliminating costly equipment upgrades or replacements while shortening time to market. Operators do not need to purchase additional radio network hardware or make changes to handsets. The result is minimal incremental cost for complete network coverage and 100 percent service availability for the subscriber base with substantial cost savings to the wireless operator.
We also offer an E112 solution for European operators and similar emergency services (E999 etc.) for other international operators.
